Andrews
Mabuza
Andrews has been with the
company for 5 years, joining us a car cleaner and
progressing to transfer guide. He has recently passed his
FGASA level 1 exam, not an easy task, by himself, which
qualifies him as a Field Guide for the Kruger National Park.
He is THETA qualified for Nature & Culture, NQF4. He is the
oldest of the 3 Mabuza brothers, he’s married with 2
daughters. His hobbies include football, athletics and
wildlife. He speaks Shangaan, Tsonga, English & Afrikaans. |

Caesar
Ngonyama
Caesar is one of our transfer
guides and is our expert Panorama guide. He is an extremely
interesting person with an extensive knowledge of South
Africa’s culture and enthrals all his passengers, young &
old. He has been with the company since 2001. He is married
with 4 grown-up children. He is THETA qualified for Nature &
Culture. He speaks English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Swazi, Venda &
N. Sotho. |

Eric Mokoena
Eric has
been with us since 2003 and is employed as a transfer guide.
He also helps with the Wolhuter Safari from time to time. He
speaks English, Swazi & Afrikaans. He is married with 4
children. He was a long-distance truck driver before joining
us and has travelled through Africa as far as Zaire. His
hobby is football. |

| Simon Parule, Maxwell & Roxy
Mabuza This is Simon Parule, Maxwell & Roxy Mabuza.
Simon is from Mozambique and speaks Portuguese, Zulu and
Tsonga. He has been with us since 1998. He is married with 3
children.
Maxwell is one of Solly’s sons and has worked for us since
2002. He speaks English, Shangaan & Zulu. He has 2 children.
He was a chef at Londolozi before joining us.
Roxy is the youngest of the Mabuza sons and has also worked
for us since 2002. He speaks English, Shangaan & Zulu. He
doesn’t have any children yet.
The three boys are pivotal to the success of the Wolhuter
Safari, keeping the camp clean & tidy and helping the chef. |

Frank Watts
Frank
Watts, now famous after starring in the "Battle at Kruger"
video which was filmed by Dave Budzinski during a Kruger
Wildlife tour with Thompsons a couple of years ago. The
video has now been viewed a staggering 28,791,230 times and
has recently won You Tube's "Best Eye Witness Video" award.
Frank spends most of his time now with guests on our
Wolhuter Tented Safaris and when he's not there he's in the
Kruger on day safaris. Frank spent many years based in the
Kruger running Shimuweni Bushveld Camp and also as a trails
ranger. He is SKS (Special Knowledge & Skills) qualified
which is the highest qualification possible through FGASA
(Field Guides Association of South Africa). He is married to
Brenda and they provide a home to several orphaned animals.
At the moment it's just 2 cats & 3 dogs but when they lived
in the Kruger it was genets, bushbabies, monkeys, birds etc.
Pretty much anything that needed a loving home. Frank has
been with us for 4 years. |

Elvis Mokoena
And last,
but not least, is Elvis Mokoena. Elvis has been with us
since November 2004 and joined us as a Kruger Park open
vehicle guide. He is married but has no children yet. He is
a qualified FGASA/THETA guide specialising in the Kruger,
Mpumalanga & Northern Province. He speaks English,
Afrikaans, Sotho & Shangaan. |

Juan Kraukamp
Juan
Kraukamp is our German speaking guide and has many, many
years experience in the safari industry. He was the manager
of Bohm's Zeederberg Guest House in Hazyview before joining
the Rattray's as manager of their tented camp, Mashatu, in
Botswana. He also worked for a while at Mala Mala Private
Game Reserve in the Sabi Sands. He is an avid birder and has
qualified as a birding specialist as well as being FGASA &
THETA qualified. Juan does a lot of our Wolhuter Safaris and
our Family Safaris. He is an exceptional animal & bird mimic
as well as being a fantastic storyteller which makes him
great fun in the bush. He is married to Chrissie, a
vivacious Aussie and has a gorgeous daughter, Kyla. |
