Elephant Sanctuary (No children under 8 on the ride)

Situated in the Illanga Game Reserve, the Elephant Sanctuary is home to elephants rescued from being sent to zoos & circuses overseas and hunting operations, as well as orphaned elephants. Guests have a choice of the Early Morning Brushdown, the Elephant Interaction & Walk and the Interactive Elephant Back Tour which includes the walk and a 30-minute ride in the reserve.

Feed the elephants, touch them, walk hand-in-trunk with them and experience the special relationship the handlers have with their “babies”! The Elephant Sanctuary is committed to elephant conservation and has a long term strategy in place to return all its’ elephants back to the wild wherever possible.
